Position Responsibilities:
  •        General Management – the General Manager will be responsible for the P&L performance of the operating business. Staying up to date with trends and developments in the luxury travel industry and using this knowledge to inform business decisions. Continuously evaluate and improve the company’s processes and systems to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
  •        Operating Systems- implement and support organizational structure, processes, cadence, and a common language to enable the business to thrive.  Drive the right management behaviors and instill accountability throughout all levels of the organization through use of standard metrics/KPI’s. Ensure maximum productivity as it relates to technology, systems, processes, and procedures throughout the organization.
  •        Human Capital- Continuously work to support and build on the company culture through the hiring, retention, and development of employees at all levels of the organization.  Ensure that the operating company is a great place to work and that the company is seen as an employer of choice in the luxury rental service.
  •        Customer Satisfaction- from a consumer, travel advisor and homeowner perspective, the General Manager will have direct oversight of the customer support function.  Maintain the development and delivery of high-quality, high-touch, luxury experiences with homeowners and always with a customer-first mentality at all levels of the business.  Ensure that the operating business maintains an outstanding reputation in the communities they serve.  Maintain a high-level of homeowner acquisition & retention and repeat customer acquisition.
  •        Commercial Excellence- drive organic growth of the operating business.  Ensure that the operating business is delivering the right message through the appropriate channels and that there’s a sufficient return on marketing spend.  Develop a sales framework that promotes honest and ethical sales practices and incentives performance. Develop strategic and tactical initiatives to grow new homeowner acquisition.
  •        Strategic & Operational- actively participate in the implementation of the company's strategy and to ensure the operating business is aligned with corporate goals and strategy. The General Manager will play a significant role, through the performance of the operating company, in the Company’s ability to grow the top and bottom line, improve productivity, and deliver exceptional customer and homeowner satisfaction.

Experience Required:
  •        Extensive sales and reservations leadership.
  •        Hands-on operations experience (property management) in luxury service industry.
  •        Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  •        Successful management experience with P&L responsibility.
  •        Proven strategic planning, tactical execution, financial management and problem-solving skills.
  •        California realtors license preferred but not required.
  •        Management of vacation rental homeowner acquisition and retention.
  •        Understanding of Santa Barbara and California short term rental regulations a plus.
