Position Responsibilities:


BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - US - Developing new distributions in Regular grocery outlets,. Gaining distribution in UNFI and /or KEHE distributor.



Job Purpose:

Our growing company, is in need of experienced and resourceful Business Development Executives to develop and implement growth opportunities in existing and new markets within the USA. We’re searching for active, young candidates who are customer-obsessed and ready to work closely with the Distributor and to solve the changing needs of our clients. Candidates should have strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to manage a diverse base of customers. Successful applicants should be willing to travel within the US. They will be based out of the Distributor’s office.


Job Duties:


  1. Ensure optimum distribution of all Cortas range in the channel / area under his/her responsibility
  2. Optimize visibility based on planogram guidelines and placement of POB material
  3. Expand the Cortas range in the outlets covered
  4. Build excellent relationship with the existing customers through ensuring constant visits and optimum service
  5. Identify new outlets / channels to expand Cortas distribution
  6. Maintain competitive monitoring in the area under his/her responsibility
  7. Determine the ideal portfolio by customer that would allow Cortas to actively compete in every market
  8. Ensure the set pricing strategy per category, taking into consideration Cortas equity position and market competitive landscape
  9. Recommend RTM improvement in markets where Cortas is currently active
  10. Maintain sales volume targets, product mix, and selling prices by constantly monitoring market trends and competitors
  11. Recommend selling price adjustments by market taking competition in consideration
  12. Oversee the sales process to attract new clients
  13. Work with senior team members in Cortas and the Distributor to identify and manage risks
  14. Maintain fruitful relationships with clients and address their needs effectively
  15. Research and identify new market opportunities

To be an effective Business Development executive, the candidate must be:

  1. Socially adept
  2. Strong analytically
  3. Ability to develop good relationships with the distributor, and with current and potential clients
  4. Excellent leadership and communication skills
  5. Experience in sales and merchandizing
  6. Knowledge of productivity tools and software
  7. High attention to details and strong communication skills
  8. The ability to assess situations and propose solutions
  9. In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events
  10. Strong time management, organization and negotiation skills


A bachelor’s degree is required.
