Position Responsibilities:

The Associate Product Manager assists the product team in all assigned functions relating to the product development process, including tracking and processing activities for new products from inception to ship date

Primary responsibilities

  • Product Development Execution
  • Collaborate with designers, lab, legal, manufacturing, purchasing, sourcing, graphics, quality control, consumer testing and sales
  • Create product specifications, initiate requests and work with internal and external resources to execute objectives for product sourcing, design, packaging and merchandising
  • Test components and formulations to approve specifications are met, develop product usage instructions in conjunction with legal, lab and designers
  • Project management activities include initiation and monitoring packaging, production releases, timelines, specifications, costing and quality approvals
  • New Product Launch
  • Create presentation materials including features and benefits, packaging prototypes, finished samples as needed to tell the story; and develop customer specific merchandising assortments
  • Product Life Cycle Management
  • Assist in the tracking of category performance, monitor competitive activity and consumer trends. Competitive analysis and retail detail reporting

Experience Required:
  • 1-2 years of Product Management or Project Management in a consumer-packaged goods environment, plus a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing is required
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
  • Great communicator and motivated team player with a positive attitude and plenty of flexibility
  • Must be creative and have the ability to think out of the box
  • Excellent computer skills – Word, Advanced Excel and Power Point
