Job Summary:

This position is responsible for growth – both growth among current clients/manufacturers and bringing in new business from new pharmaceutical manufacturers.  Those who excel tend to be comfortable uncovering opportunities and continuously promoting their benefits in the hopes of uncovering a match.  This type of position is used to develop a presence in a competitive stronghold or to expand sales coverage beyond the firm’s current customer base.  The VP tends to be an opportunistic problem solver who looks for novel ways to apply the agency's solutions.


Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for current client up sell and renewals, cross selling to other brand teams at current manufactures and selling to new customers or dormant existing relationships
  • Responsible for creating and developing long-term relationships with clients and Sr. Mgmt to make Company an indispensable partner
  • Works closely with delivery team to ensure all work sold is delivered with excellence, including negotiating review committee approvals and developing strategic annual plans
  • Complete needs assessment, linking customer business problems with Company solutions and present solutions to fit client business need
  • Prepare and deliver proposals for up-sell, cross sell and new business
  • Prepare and deliver strategic plans and recommendations
  • Coordinate and persuasively position contract development and execution
  • Typical decision maker: Financial decision maker VP marketing, brand leader, brand manager, HCP Brand Leaders, sales management

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Pharma Brand HCP experience either on client or agency side a must

  • Sales cycle is typically 3-5 months for new manufacturers, but can extend to 6 months for complex deals
