The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position: •Knowledge equivalent to BS/BA degree (MBA desirable) plus 12 years of progressive sales experience in the consumer package goods industry. This should include 7–9 years working cross functionally with sales, marketing and finance, demonstrating expertise with P&Ls; •Expertise in building consensus, gaining alignment and decision making across functions; to include senior leaders. Ability to take into account broad cross-functional implications, benefits and risks. Proven people development skills in developing, coaching and motivating direct reports and peers; proven track record of delivering results through others; •Excellent financial management skills to assess trade merchandising programs and cost investments versus results; ability to streamline operational processes. Superior analytical ability, assessing different models and related outputs; •Exceptional knowledge of retailer landscape and how to impact the total market. Ability to understand the impact of individual decisions to Bayer’s total business and relevant long term implications. Prior direct selling leadership experience at one of Bayer’s top national retailers and sales strategy or sales operations experience required; •Excellent written and oral communication skills. The incumbent must exemplify superior critical thinking through multi-task problem solving (i.e., process management), practical judgment and financial analysis. •Proven negotiation skills: In-depth experience aligning multiple teams with conflicting objectives to a common outcome. Proven ability to develop win-win solutions to complex situations. Superior problem solving skills; •Robust analytical capabilities across a variety of data sources and platforms; advanced computer literacy skill required, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint.
