Position Responsibilities:

• Own the Category Management relationship, and act as a trusted category advisor and strategic partner to grow the overall category.
• Generate routine reporting (weekly, monthly) and provide insights, identify opportunities and deliver solutions that drive profitable category growth.
• Direct and perform analysis across a wide variety of retail and Food Service business development issues.
• Lead the line review process, make recommendations on category space allocations and develop POGs using space planning software.
• Develop and present materials for internal and external sales meetings, trades shows, buyers and key stakeholders (e.g. business reviews, line reviews, product/segment deep dives, shopper insights, etc.).
• Become the category expert and facilitate the development and deployment of industry Best Practices (e.g product, pricing and promotion).

Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree (with an emphasis in business/marketing or related field).
• 3-5 years of experience working with a leading CPG company (Category Management, Shopper Insights or related position).
• Demonstrated knowledge of Category Management philosophies, tools and processes with a proven record of success.
• Strategic thinker with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proven ability to analyze and identify insights, from a combination of data sources, and to make objective recommendations to drive the business.
• Prior experience analyzing retailer data and presenting key findings and recommendations to senior level executives.
• Strong communication/follow-up, presentation, project management and organizational skills.
• Advanced analytical skills and computer software proficiency (e.g. Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
• Strong familiarity with syndicated data, measures and software (e.g. Nielsen/Nitro, IRI, Feature Vision, Spectra, etc.).
